Some behaviour challenges cannot be addressed effectively through one off consultations or remote support alone. In complex, entrenched, or high stakes cases, meaningful change often requires time, observation, and practical work within the dog or cat’s real environment.
I offer intensive, in person behaviour and training support, where I travel to work with clients directly in their home and day to day context for a concentrated period of time, typically across several days or a full week.
I offer this type of training throughout the UK as well as for international clients.
My name is Daniel Shaw, and I am an animal behaviourist and educator working with dogs and cats, supporting behaviour change through a welfare led, evidence informed approach. I hold a BSc with Honours and a Master’s degree in neuroscience, and I am a certified dog behaviour consultant with the International Association of Animal Behaviour Consultants. My work sits at the intersection of behaviour science, learning theory, and practical application in real world settings.
I support companion animals experiencing a wide range of behaviour challenges, including canine aggression, training concerns, and complex household dynamics. Many cases are influenced by health, stress, environment, or previous learning experiences, and benefit from hands on, in person support rather than remote advice alone.
Alongside my work in the UK, I regularly deliver in person behaviour and training sessions internationally at the invitation of clients and organisations. I have worked with clients across Europe, the United States, Asia, and the Gulf States, most recently delivering in home support in Kuwait and professional education in Singapore.
During intensives, my approach is collaborative and practical. I work alongside you in your home environment, helping you understand your dog or cat’s behaviour in context and develop the skills needed to continue making progress long after the intensive has ended.

An immersive behaviour and training intensive is designed for clients who want focused, practical support delivered in real time, rather than spaced sessions over many months.
During an intensive, I work closely with you to:
✔ Understand your dog or cat’s behaviour in context
✔ Observe daily routines, triggers, and environmental pressures
✔ Support practical training and develop your handling and training skills in real situations
✔ Adjust management and handling strategies as needed
✔ Build confidence, clarity, and consistency for everyone involved
This approach allows for deeper understanding, faster learning, and more sustainable behaviour change by supporting both the animal and the people responsible for their day to day care, rather than relying on remote or one off sessions alone.
Intensive Support is available for both dogs and cats and may be suitable for:
✔ Dogs experiencing fear, anxiety, frustration, aggression, or complex behaviour challenges
✔ Dogs who would benefit from practical training to support behaviour change, handling, safety, or everyday management
✔ Cats showing signs of stress, conflict, litter tray concerns, or behavioural breakdown within the home
✔ Multi dog or multi cat households
All support is tailored to the individual animal, household, and wider context.

This type of in person, immersive work is offered on a limited basis due to the time involved and the need to balance travel with ongoing commitments.
Fees for this are tailored to each case and vary depending on:
✔ Location
✔ Length of visit
✔ Complexity of the case
Travel and accommodation costs are additional and are discussed transparently in advance.
Due to limited availability, in person support is scheduled selectively throughout the year and is not always immediately available, particularly for international travel. Early enquiry is recommended if you are considering this option.
