We are proud to be one of Kent's leading dog behaviour consulting and dog training services. Pets are an integral part of our lives, so if they are struggling with a behavioural problem, it can take a big toll. We have successfully been training dogs and resolving behavioural problems for many years, finding successful solutions for both dogs, and their owners. As both dog trainers and behaviourists, we can help with all sorts of issues from general dog training, to more advanced dog and cat behavioural issues such as:
What we offer
At Animal Behaviour Kent we have a wealth of experience and are highly qualified to take on a wide variety of cases. We cover areas in and around Kent and the South East of England as well as East Sussex, Surrey, and South East London. However, if you are from further away, please do still get in touch as we would still be happy to assist you, it just may cost a bit more to account for travel time.
For more information on where we cover, see the areas we cover.
We offer a free 15 minute pre-consultation phone call in which we can take some details of your case, and give some initial advice. Just fill in our contact form to book.
A behaviour consultation is ideal for dogs experiencing issues including aggression to people, aggression to other dogs, separation anxiety, destructive behaviour, chewing, self mutilation or fearful behaviour. The initial consultation will last 1-2 hours. We will assess the dog's needs, put together a structured behaviour modification plan specific to your dog, or dogs, and help you put this into practice. After the initial consult you will be sent a full behaviour report outlining our recommendations. This will include one year of email and phone support. We can also forward a copy of the report to your vet if we are working under veterinary referral. There is then the option of one or more follow up consultations, in some more complex cases, this may be deemed necessary, however for some dogs, the initial consultation is enough.
We cover more general training in our 1:1 training sessions which tackle issues such as recall, loose lead walking, jumping up and trick training. Whether you need to start your training from scratch, or want to perfect your dog's existing skills, this is a great option. If you want regular support you can book our Ultimate Dog Training Package which offers comprehensive long term training support for owners looking to work on a number of issues.
We offer a number of comprehensive dog training packages to help get you and your dog on the right track.
All our consultation services are offered both in person, and virtually via Zoom. In many cases, online consultations are a great option, as they prevent any additional stress for the dog, whilst still allowing us to observe them in their own environment.
If you would like to book an online behavioural consultation, get in touch through our contact form.
